FleetPulse Base PMI Steps
- Inspect gateway and connector harness: 2-minutes
- Connect 7-way power to trailer nose box: 2-minutes
- Quality check data features: 2-minutes
Total Time: 6-minutes
1. Inspect Gateway and Connector Harness
- Approach front of vehicle where gateway is mounted and inspect FleetPulse telematics gateway, connector, and wiring.
- Ensure there is no damage or wear.
- Ensure all parts are connected and secure.
- Ensure the connector blue collar is in locked position (pushed up towards box).

2. Connect 7-Way Power to Trailer Nose Box
- Power up the gateway by connecting tractor engine-on (alternator) power to 7-way trailer nose box.
- Center blue pin (Aux.) power must be 13V or above.
- Using a mobile 7-way powering unit is acceptable in powering up the trailer nose box. Ensure Aux. voltage is above 13V.

3. Quality Check Connectivity
- Visually check the lighting sequence on the gateway.
- Red light blinks or goes solid, depending on the state of the internal battery.
- Yellow and green lights blink, then go solid.
- Park the trailer outside, near good cellular and GPS connectivity.
- The gateway reports data:
- Once power is applied.
- Every 5 minutes.
- Once power is disconnected.
- Visually check data at my.fleetpulse.com.
- Log in to FleetPulse, enter the trailer VIN or unit ID, and check for good timestamp reporting of GPS, battery, and other data features.

| 12 | ALL | - | CURRENT | Test device up to 20 minutes for all LEDs to log current status |

Optional: Test Connector Harness Voltage
- If the light sequence fails to begin, test voltage on the gateway connector harness plug:
- Pull down the connector blue collar to the unlocked position.
- Using a multimeter, turn the dial to DC voltage. Touch the black probe to the ground pin and the red probe to the battery power pin.
- If voltage does not closely match tractor input, a wiring short or open circuit is likely. Contact support@fleetpulse.com for assistance.
- If corrosion is found on the connector face or inside the gateway pins, clean with automotive-grade corrosion deterrent.
- If damage is found inside the connector on the wiring side or on the gateway, contact support@fleetpulse.com for further assistance.
