Introduction
Welcome to the FleetPulse Pro Preventative Maintenance Checklist for FleetPulse enabled trailers. Use this guide any time you are performing a PM or troubleshooting the wired FleetPulse Pro system. A Pro system can be identified by the presence of the FleetPulse Pro gateway on the nose of the trailer (see fig 1).
To Start, Plug the PRO Trailer Into At Least 13v of Power
Step 1: Check Sensor Connectivity in the FleetPulse App
- Open the FleetPulse mobile app.
- Select Scan to scan the trailer VIN or search via the VIN or Trailer ID

Look for trailer health and connectivity status:
Connectivity Status
Connectivity Good means you can see GPS location, battery voltage, and all installed sensors (like cargo, door, or TPMS) showing current data. Trailer Health "Good" means there are no issues with any of the systems that FleetPulse monitors, specifically ABS, TIS, and lights. If both = Good, you’re done.
If there is a trailer health issue, follow the troubleshooting instructions in the app.
If Connection = Critical or says “Not Reporting” after 5 minutes, go to Step 2.

Step 2: Check Lights on the FleetPulse PRO Gateway with Power Plugged In
- Confirm tractor or power source is connected and is delivering 13v+.
- While trailer is connected to power, monitor the gateway (black box mounted on the front of the trailer):
- If all 3 LEDs are solid, email support@fleetpulse.com and ask them to confirm the trailer is assigned to your account.
- If no LEDs turn on, go to Step 3.
Step 3: Test the Battery Connection

With power still plugged in, unplug the battery cable from the jumper harness and monitor the gateway for the following:
- If lights come on or the app starts reporting, the battery is faulty. Leave it unplugged and email support to send a replacement tracking device.
- If no LEDs turn on go to Step 4.
Step 4: Inspect the Wiring

Inspect all wiring and connections between:
- Gateway device
- Battery
- Squid harness (multi-connector plug)

If wiring is intact and there’s no corrosion, a new gateway should restore functionality:
- Email support@fleetpulse.com to request a replacement gateway.
- If there’s any damage or loose/broken wires identify the part # via the Pro warranty guide.

Used Parts Return Policy
Used parts must be returned within 30 days from the date FleetPulse or the manufacturer ships the replacement part. If the used part is not returned within this timeframe, the requesting company will be invoiced for the cost of the new part, including shipping and handling.
Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning used parts.
Warranty Claim Conditions
FleetPulse or its supplier manufacturers reserve the right to deny any warranty claims if parts are found to be:
- Functional
- Past the warranty period
- Damaged due to customer abuse
- Failed due to operational hazards
- Disassembled
- Affected by any non-OE-related causes
