Verify Data Reporting

  1. Access the FleetPulse platform via my.fleetpulse.com or the mobile app. Contact support@fleetpulse.com if you do not have a login.
  2. Confirm device serial number and trailer VIN match.
  3. Verify data is reporting and sensor activity is correct. Example of FleetPulse Solar reporting:
  • Telematics data reports every 10 minutes when vehicle is in motion (Trailer Tethered).
  • Telematics data reports every 12 hours after vehicle has stopped for more than 30 minutes (Trailer Untethered).

Inspection & Troubleshooting

  1. Verify the installation location of the FleetPulse Solar device. The recommended installation location is on or near the roof of the trailer.    A screenshot of a computer

  2. Inspect the device for cracks or other damage.
  3. Verify that the solar panel of the device is clean and intact.
  4. If device is not reporting, reset the device and check connectivity:
    1. Locate the button at the bottom of the device.
    2. Press and hold the button for up to 10 seconds or until the LEDs illuminate.
    3. Verify GPS (green), cellular (blue), and Zigbee (amber) activate. The lights will remain on until a cellular signal lock has been achieved.
    4. If the device solar panel has not been exposed to sunlight for more than a month, place outside facing the sky for minimum two hours and attempt to resent again.

FleetPulse recommends performing PMI on Solar devices during the vehicles regular periodic PMI set by the owner. If these steps do not restore the functionality contact support@fleetpulse.com for more support.
