How to replace the Track Device

STEP 1: Locate the Track device on the trailer.
The Track is tucked underneath the trailer between the last two crossbeams above the landing gear on the roadside. (See step 6 below).
STEP 2: Unscrew the “defective” Track from the Trailer.
STEP 3: Test the Track again before you swap.
Place the Track on a flat surface.
Press and hold the button (you should feel a click) for five seconds or until the LED starts flashing green.
Activation LED Sequence
Observe the LED sequence to confirm activation. A typical pattern may look like: Flashing Green -> Flashing Orange -> Flashing Blue -> Solid Green
Successful activation is confirmed by a solid green LED at the end (the LED will turn off after a moment).
Activation Issue
NOTE: If the LED sequence ends in a solid Red LED, the Track failed to connect and will not report an update.
STEP 4: Activate the new Track (before you install).
Repeat all of STEP 3 for the new Track device
STEP 5: Mount the new Track device under the trailer in the same location.
Only install if the Track is GOOD (Solid Green LED indicated at the end of the activation sequence)

Multi-device Trailers
NOTE: If your trailer is equipped with more than one FleetPulse telematics device, contact support for additional setup and validation.

IMPORTANT NOTE
-
Before the device can transmit updates to the platform:
- It must establish a GPS fix and connect to a cellular network.
- Signal acquisition is highly dependent on the device’s location and the strength of GPS and cellular signals in the area.
- If your device does not report immediately, do not panic.
- If the status LEDs do not illuminate when the button is pressed:
- The internal battery may be dead.
- Contact support@fleetpulse.com if you have further questions.
